Toxicology is the study of the adverse effects of chemicals on living systems. The Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program (ITP) at Oklahoma State University fosters collaborative research among faculty from different disciplines on chemical toxicity and seeks to cross-train students in the use of multidisciplinary concepts and approaches. The ITP involves investigators from several departments and colleges (Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, Center for Health Sciences, and the Departments of Zoology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Nutritional Sciences, Sociology, and Chemical Engineering) from both the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses. Areas of expertise of participating faculty are broad and extend from molecular to ecosystem to community approaches.
